I and many others are extremely happy to see that Yarmouth Public Works has finally decided to repair East Elm Street potholes. The deplorable condition that has existed there was changing the routes that many drivers took to avoid damage to their cars.

The extreme cold of this past winter was the culprit I guess, but the slowness of the town to repair it was noteworthy. It seems strange that a municipality that seems to have the best of everything was so tardy in trying to alleviate those horrendous, damaging potholes.

While we watched other towns make immediate repairs to their winter damaged roads, those on East Elm Street seemed to last forever. I guess it is not surprising when dealing with the bureaucracy of government. Do you feel that your tax dollars are well spent?
