Senate District 11 is lucky. We have good choices for state senator and one outstanding choice: Dick Woodbury.

Woodbury has a doctorate in economics from Harvard. His research and opinions on aging populations and tax reform are published and he is “The Guy” people ask when these complex subjects come up. Maine, like other New England states, will struggle to balance the needs of retiring baby-boomers and the workforce. And we are all concerned about taxes.

I am voting to send Woodbury to Augusta because I know other legislators, regardless of their political affiliation, will want his expertise at their disposal. Additionally, Woodbury has been to Augusta already and served in the House with distinction. He is known and well respected.

Finally, please note that the Democrat, Cindy Bullens, withdrew from the race, but her name still appears on the ballot. A vote for her will not count.
