Having caught up some in the yard sign arms race, I want to briefly state why I am running for Falmouth Town Council. First, people matter. Second, money matters. And third, community matters. I believe I have the experience, qualifications, commitment and temperament to make balanced decisions that are best for Falmouth. Fiscally, I take seriously the council’s responsibility to make sure that the town spends our money wisely and prudently, and consider it a compliment when my wife and kids complain that I am “tighter than bark on a tree” when it comes to money. Finally, being a part of this community and serving it – coaching, volunteering in classrooms and on the Falmouth Land Trust – is a privilege. I hope to share where I stand on specific issues with as many of you as possible in person before you vote.
