The most effective School Committee members seem to be the ones that can find common ground on divisive issues, handle criticism without hitting the panic button, prepare thoroughly for meetings, possess an unusual capacity to listen to people whom others might wish to silence, and retain a sense of humor for the moments when most needed. I have observed these qualities when working with Bob on several different projects.
