With the hard-fought election now over and the holiday season in front of us, I wanted to take a quick moment to thank all the citizens of House District 51 for believing in me. My thanks extends to my opponent and her family as well, who clearly made a lot of sacrifices over these past few months. Passionate political differences should never become personal, because the duties in front of us are far too important.

I also want to thank my two adorable little children, Maddison and Jordan. Thank you for standing with me through the early mornings, the late nights, the many meetings, parades, and more. While all of our children are maturing today, we need to work together to ensure they have better opportunities tomorrow.

God bless the great people of District 51 and all of the newly elected officials who have been entrusted with the most solemn responsibility of all, guarding our individual liberty.
