Rowe School is one of Yarmouth’s gems. It is a vibrant place where the youngest students learn to read, write, explore, and build friendships. However, it is now beyond capacity and bursting at the seams.

Instructional spaces have been divided up, with multiple activities taking place in the same room. Two years ago, the music classroom was turned into a regular classroom, forcing music into the library. This move limited the time the library could be accessed for reading instruction. This year, the art classroom was converted to a kindergarten classroom, and the school purchased a used trailer to make room for music and art.

There is no space left to provide for current enrollment, let alone growth. It is vital that voters in Yarmouth approve both parts of the school bond to update all schools to the right size and allow classroom standards that our students and teachers deserve.
