I’m writing to support lifelong Democrat Richard Rottkov of South Portland in the June 12 primary election in House District 32. Over many years I’ve come to know him as a deeply dedicated member of our community.
Richard is a thoughtful listener and a committed consensus builder. He has volunteered for numerous roles both within and beyond our local Democratic committee. He has helped many Democrats get elected to the Legislature. He has tirelessly supported progressive issues, including universal health care, a system of taxation that’s fair to the poor and the middle class, and enhanced stewardship of the environment as a leader of the South Portland Land Trust.
He also understands the educational needs of our children, having worked at South Portland High School and Southern Maine Community College over 15 years. Richard Rottkov will make a terrific representative for South Portland and Cape Elizabeth.
