We have two City Council candidates, Kate Lewis and Susan Henderson, who are part of the “Protect South Portland” agenda.
We need people on the council who not only will protect South Portland but protect our jobs in South Portland. We need people who will protect our taxes from that yearly 2 percent-plus tax rate hike. We need people who will protect our rights. Who will not ban something new every week. Who will not pass mandates and ordinances that are unenforceable and make criminals out of law-abiding citizens who are just trying to keep their lawns looking decent and hold down jobs and pay their bills.
Vote for Louis Maietta Jr. and Michael Pock. They are both business owners and know what it is to keep jobs in the city. They will help to keep taxes down and regulations and unnecessary bans down. Vote maturity and common sense.
