As a retired educator and a grandmother, I am voting for Democrat Joyce “Jay” McCreight for our representative in House District 51. Jay knows the issues facing our teachers and students in public education. As a volunteer at the Coffin Elementary School in Brunswick, and a social worker in Maine public schools for many years, Jay has the knowledge and the compassion to work for solutions to guarantee every child a quality education.
Furthermore, we need legislators who will work to protect our pensions, health-care premiums and COLA allotments. We need a voice in Augusta who will help fix the losses suffered under the present administration. I believe Jay will be that voice.
