I support the proposed expansion of Falmouth Memorial Library and plan to vote yes on Nov. 4. I am a regular volunteer and frequent user of the library, and I understand the urgent need for this project. The work that I do for the library several times each week helps to raise much needed funds, but it must be performed at another location offsite because the existing library building offers inadequate workspace and no storage.
An expanded library building will provide the space and storage that it currently lacks in addition to increasing its ability to offer the programs that our community wants and needs. I will look forward to doing my volunteer work in the library itself along with my friends and neighbors, a very rewarding experience. I hope you will join me in voting yes for the library.
