I read the article about the new curbs on Birchwood Avenue in Yarmouth. It was good to see, but unfortunately it missed mentioning a very important point. With the high curbs there’s an inability to pull over to the side of the road and/or for visitors to park alongside the road, not to mention a lack of access to the properties for service vehicles, etc.

The roads on the island are already narrow and without a connection between the grass and the street, the vehicles and pedestrians are now confined to the street.. Also, Talbot Road which connects to Littlejohn Island also received the same curbing along with the same issues.
