My name is Lucy Tucker and I am a candidate for Falmouth School Board.
A native of Philadelphia, I attended Colby College, fell in love with Maine and decided to stay. After living in Portland while my children were preschool age, my husband and I moved to Falmouth 10 years ago for the schools. I am running because I want to do all I can to help maintain our high-quality education and support all of those who helped us achieve that ranking.
I have three boys in the school system – one in each of the schools – and I have been an active volunteer for the past 10 years. I am fully aware that we live in a time where we need to make sacrifices. I would appreciate the opportunity to work collaboratively to make sure that our outstanding schools do not bare the brunt of those sacrifices.
