On Tuesday, Sept. 21, North Yarmouth citizens will elect a selectman for a one-year term. I plan to vote for Keith Thompson.
Keith already knows a lot about our town. He has been at dozens of board and town committee meetings in the past nine months. That shows tremendous perseverance, and respect for our town’s volunteers and all the work they do.
I have spoken with Keith and looked at his website about North Yarmouth. In person, he listens carefully. His written opinions are clear and well thought-out and I appreciate that, even if we don’t always agree.
I like that Keith is stepping up to the plate. Newer volunteers in town are well appreciated for their fresh attitudes and new ideas.
Some have negative opinions about our town. Keith is a great example of someone who sees the positive in North Yarmouth.
