On Nov. 2, citizens of Topsham will have a not-to-be-missed opportunity to elect Denise Tepler to the state Legislature in House District 60.

Denise is a thoughtful, caring and public-spirited person who is poised to serve the community well from day one in office. She served six years on the School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors, and has served on the town Finance committee. She has also volunteered for many other town organizations, including Spectrum Generations, Topsham Heating Assistance and the Topsham Library.

Denise listens well and welcomes input from townspeople. If elected, she pledges to maintain open office hours every month. She is knowledgeable about the interests of small business people in the community, and would be a leader in fostering the education of our youth towards good paying jobs as Maine moves in the direction of energy independence. Denise considers alternative energy initiatives as a good business development plan for the state.

Denise will give Topsham fresh leadership in Augusta. She is hard working, has good ideas, and is receptive to the townspeople. Whether voting by absentee ballot or at the polls, I hope the opportunity to elect Denise will not be missed.
