This November, Portland’s District 4 will choose a new city councilor for the first time in more than 30 years. As a teacher at Deering High School, I strongly believe that we need someone who supports our values and has a strong history of creating lasting and effective change.

Justin Costa’s service on the School Board has proved his commitment to our city, our schools and our future. He’s fought for funding and he’s worked with teachers, parents and elected officials to make a difference in the lives of our students. Justin seeks innovative solutions to the challenges that face our unique, multicultural city.

I’ve known Justin for almost 20 years. He’s a leader who listens and creates partnerships. I’m proud to join councilors, business owners, School Board members, legislators, and other city leaders in supporting him.
