I am writing to express support for the Regional School Unit 1 school renovation bond. This will infuse long-overdue capital into our school district. My children are a few years away from attending Morse High School, but a recent tour made it clear to me that we can’t wait any longer to address these most basic improvements.

This investment will reduce on-going maintenance and energy costs, bring the district up to code and accreditation requirements, and create a better learning environment for our kids. Our kids deserve adequate science labs, current technology, and to be able to focus on learning rather than the temperature of the classroom.

We are fortunate to have school staff that have worked around these deferred capital issues for many years, but that is clearly not the best course for our children.
