I am in favor of the Falmouth Memorial Library expansion. The current site is next to the business district, where the library belongs. The design is appropriate. It keeps the good and replaces the outdated. The volume level will go from the noisy children’s center through an expanded computer area and the stacks, to the quiet reading room.

I approve of the elevator. Install it now so that the downstairs can be used for book sales and for storage. In the future, the downstairs can be further completed and used as part of the library.

I like the curved drive so the parking lot will not be attractive as a “cut-through.” The handicapped parking is close and convenient.

I urge you to go to the polls in November and vote for the library expansion. Then contribute as much as you can to the expansion fund.
