So often when candidates are running for office we just get sound bites or a few written words that we think summarize their thoughts and position on issues. Rarely do we get an opportunity to really listen to someone share why they are running and what their hopes are.
I just had this opportunity when neighbors held a house party for Democrat Dale Denno, who is running for state representative from Cumberland and part of Gray in House District 45. The variety of life experiences he has had, from growing up on a farm, to working in business and state government, has provided him with wisdom and a sense of commitment that is impressive. We need someone of Dale’s caliber representing us in Augusta. He has been working hard to earn our votes and he has mine.
