It’s been a busy couple of weeks for business leaders who are committed to doing the right thing for their customers. First it was Freeport’s Bow Street Market owners, Adam and Sheila Nappi, who made the bold move to remove all tobacco products from their shelves, citing their commitment to the health of their employees, customers, and the community. Next, it was national drugstore chain CVS that made the move to end tobacco sales of any kind. These business leaders and others who will now be encouraged to follow in their footsteps are to be congratulated. Their efforts will mean fewer cigarettes and smokeless tobacco sold to kids, and it will be just a little easier for those who are trying to quit, a group that includes the vast majority of current smokers.

Thank you, Bow Street and CVS, you have won my customer loyalty.
