Recently, I had the pleasure to sit down with Eloise Vitelli, the Democratic candidate in state Senate District 23, to discuss Question 3 on the November ballot, the “gun control” question.

I was impressed that Eloise had already reviewed the proposed statute, and that she immediately noticed its implications for hunters and trappers. It seems to read that if I want to loan my hunting buddy a rifle for the weekend, he has to undergo a background check, and I have to undergo one when he returns it.

Eloise told me that if the measure passes, she intends to support legislation to correct this overreach, and to ensure that hunters and trappers can freely exchange firearms during the season without expensive and time-consuming background checks.

Eloise Vitelli is on top of this issue, and is the best hope for hunters and trappers in District 23. Please join with me in supporting her with your vote in November.
