I am appalled that Falmouth Town Council is considering the establishment of a Wellness Committee. The committee will endorse “spirituality,” health and wellness in the town. I note, at the outset, that the panel’s “mission” offends the U.S. Constitution, as the committee promotes “spirituality,” using taxpayer dollars. I am agnostic. I do not have a “spiritual” belief. I will live. I will die. I will sue the Town. What other nonsense will this committee advance using my tax dollars against my personal, physically based practices and beliefs?

Health and wellness are not a town concern. Health and wellness do not affect the town budget, like education and administration. Our Town Council needs to focus on our town priorities.

Town Council, convince me otherwise.
