Thank you to many people and institutions for another successful visit from our sister city in Japan: Bath Middle School, Joe Byrnes, Maine Maritime Museum, Bath Noontime Rotary, Marnee’s Cookies, Bath Skate Park, Bath YMCA, Maine Aomori Sister State Advisory Committee, Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Maine Children’s Museum, Rep. Thom Watson, Gov. and Mrs. Baldacci, Grace Episcopal Church and UCC Church.
A huge thanks to our wonderful host families, and especially to Bath City Hall and RSU 1 for their support of the program. We have a large group traveling to Tsugaru in July, and another group from Japan visiting here in August. With this wonderful support, we now have a board and are hiring a paid coordinator (welcome to Julie George-Carson).
