It will be a great pleasure to cast my vote on Nov. 6 to re-elect U.S. Sen. Angus King to a second term. In the past six years, King has proved himself to be the real deal: a thoughtful man of integrity, intelligence, dedication and passion. In a particularly chaotic period of this nation’s history, with division and dissension seemingly everywhere, King reaches across the aisle to try to create and enact legislation that protects the integrity of our political system and to do what he believes to be best for all Mainers. From his work on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, to his efforts to strengthen our health care system and Maine’s economy and environment, I know I can trust King to make well-informed, thoughtful, and nonpartisan decisions. I only wish that our country had 99 more like him.
