Voters in Freeport and Pownal House District 48 have an opportunity in this election to send an outstanding young man to the Maine House of Representatives. Republican Paul Schulz is not a politician in the traditional sense.

He is a small-business owner who worked his way through college on construction crews and graduated with a degree in Information Systems. With his strong sense of civic duty, he has applied his building skills to projects as a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. He is currently building his own house – by himself.

His parents taught him the value of hard work and sound fiscal management. He would bring those same values to the Legislature.

A scoutmaster and father of three young children, Paul wants a stronger Maine for the next generation to inherit.

It is time to elect a forward-looking man of character and common sense.
