I will be voting yes on June 14 on the Scarborough school budget. I want to express my positive feedback and support of the School Board and Town Council this year on their collaboration on the entire budget. Even if they disagree on an item, there is a new sense of mutual respect at Town Hall. It’s a good example for residents.

Scarborough is extremely unique. Prout’s Neck, Higgin’s Beach, Pine Point, new $450,000 colonials, but also small ranch houses on Beech Ridge Road, and senior citizens living in condos. We are large in population and land area; the continual growth does increase the tax base, but puts more stress on our services.

Vote yes for no program cuts, seventh-grade sports, and we will be welcoming a new superintendent.
