It appears that we have a great slate of candidates vying for Scarborough Town Council this year. Each seems to want to give back to the community; no one appears to be running in protest of a particular process or policy. This in itself is testament to the concerted effort of many to make discourse in our town more civil and respectful. One of the voices and leading examples for respect and civility has been Town Council Chairman Bill Donovan. I believe that Bill’s quiet, respectful approach to governing has set the tone for Town Council business. He is genuinely curious about details and yet manages to keep those details in perspective while seeing the big picture. Bill’s leadership has been welcome and productive, and I hope you will join me in re-electing him to the Town Council so that he can continue serving our wonderful community.
