The news is depressing these days. Politics at the national and state level is a mess. Theater, ideology and politics seem to override honesty and the good of the people, the true mission of our elected officials. It used to be that no matter what was going on at the national level, our state officials would rally, regardless of party, for the citizens of Maine. I yearn for that again. This is why in I will vote for Republican Sarah Sandlin for House District 44. She has been making the rounds this summer. I have literally seen her everywhere around town. From a distance, I thought her impossibly young. However, on closer examination I have found her very well informed with a solid fiscal platform focused on strengthening our community and economy. Her enthusiasm and forthrightness has given me fresh hope. Please join me in voting for Sarah Sandlin.
