I was distressed to read of the extremely close vote in Falmouth for the Route 1 project. I understand the vote was 1,240 “for” and 1,151 “against.”
I feel that close vote is telling us something; the difference is only 89 votes.
I cannot understand why there is not an automatic recount on something of this magnitude. I understand that a recount can be done, but at 90 years of age I do not have the energy to get out there and acquire the necessary signatures.
I feel in my heart that this is a very wrong thing for Falmouth.
