The Robbie Foundation wants to express its sincere gratitude to the public who turned out for a National Lobster Day event to support special needs children in Maine. The event was held June 15 at the Walgreen’s stores on Forest Avenue and Marginal Way in Portland. The turnout from the public was incredibly generous: $2,000 was presented to the Robbie Foundation.

We are a one-of-a-kind nonprofit that offers a safety net for children with disabilities. The Scarborough-based foundation provides funding, for families of children of all disabilities to buy adaptive equipment, assistive technology, therapy treatment or any other necessary item not covered by insurance. The money raised by the National Lobster Day event goes a long way to improving the quality of life of these amazing children, especially during a time where funding and services are being cut on state and federal levels. Again, we salute Walgreen’s for its amazing generosity and outstanding commitment to making a difference in the lives of children of all disabilities.
