We will be voting for C. Peter Rich of District 30 on Nov. 6. We have known Peter for over 15 years; he has always been a voice of reason and willing to take on any situation before him. After 36 years, Peter recently retired from BIW as Principal Project Manager of the DDG 51 program, where he oversaw the Arleigh Burke Class of guided missile destroyers through the construction process. His ability to work with hundreds of people at a time was what contributed to the success of these projects and their completion on time. Peter Rich is a very forward-thinking man. He has pragmatic ideas for increasing jobs and lowering costs. He believes in supporting our schools, but sees systemic waste where no child benefits. Peter is driven by sensibility and enjoys finding ways to conserve costs when dealing with your hard-earned money and a great asset to Maine’s Legislature.
