In a time in which the economy is changing in a volatile manner, the citizens of Freeport and Pownal need someone who will represent their concerns and ideas. They need a candidate with a proven track record, a candidate who knows the ropes in Augusta, a candidate who will listen. They need an effective leader.

Rep. David Webster fits those criteria perfectly. As the state representative who has served House District 106 for the past eight years, David has proved a valuable asset to the communities that he has stood for. He has the work experience necessary for such a position, having been a consultant and been the head of an arts organization. He knows and cares about Maine, having lived here since 1975. He’s been a member of many organizations, including the Maine Department of Education statewide council, Freeport Community Players, and Community Support Services. He’s incredibly receptive and solves problems with solutions that work for all, not just a small percentage of residents. Don’t you believe we need a politician who knows the system of state government and has the experience necessary to get things done? I think so.

David is the epitome of a consummate leader. He doesn’t play “party politics.” He listens to all citizens when making decisions that affect the people he represents rather than solely those of his party. He stands for what is right. I hope you’ll join me in voting for David Webster to represent House District 106 on Nov. 2.
