Here’s why I’m voting for Cathy Breen in the Senate District 25 Democratic primary.

Cathy’s a Clean Election candidate. She has no big money contributors and her personal fortune isn’t bankrolling her campaign. Her slogan, “Clean Elections – the way elections should be,” says it best.

Cathy supports regional cooperation. Beggar-thy-neighbor policies of tax giveaways and special incentives do not serve the people of Maine.

Cathy knows that early child education and care is essential. High-quality child care must be more affordable. All of Maine’s 4-year-olds deserve access to pre-school programs.

Cathy recognizes the pressing need for greater access to health care including treatment for mental health problems. It is terrible public policy – and way too expensive – to leave thousands of Mainers on the streets and in jail, but that’s the effect of the four-year waiting list for supported housing for mentally ill adults.

Vote for Cathy Breen on June 10.
