I am writing to endorse the re-election of state Sen. Dick Woodbury, U-Yarmouth, in District 11. Dick is one of the most respected senators in Augusta because of his unrivaled grasp of the issues and his ability to work with both political parties to craft practical approaches to advance the Maine economy. A wonderful example of Dick in action during the last legislative session was his sponsorship and enactment of LD 1437, to spur Maine’s economic development by building on the good work that has come from key studies on the Maine economy such as the Brookings Institution’s “Charting Maine’s Future.”
Though he is a policy wonk, Dick is also a man who knows how to work with people, both legislative colleagues and constituents. He speaks softly, listens carefully, and brings an irrepressible optimism to his work. He cares deeply about our state. Please help return Dick Woodbury to the state Senate.
