Following are the reasons I am glad to vote to re-elect Sen. Stan Gerzofsky:
I know he has been actively involved in the complicated and sometimes sensitive negotiations during the BNAS closure. Specifically he has been instrumental in having Southern Maine Community College establish a large campus there. Not only will this bring jobs and business to Brunswick, but it is another step in highlighting our Mid-Coast area as a center of learning and progress.
He also advocates for the working man. One example is his proactive approach to lessening the burden of state regulations for fishermen and clam diggers. He also was instrumental in having the Mere Point boat launch built so that all Brunswick residents could have access to the water.
I know he also works effectively for individual constituents as he helped a neighbor explore possible federal assistance for solar panels. He also was quick to help my husband and myself during our recent trip to Washington and with an employment issue.
Whether he is acting for the large issues or the small, he has my vote.
