I am writing to endorse Robert “Will” Rowan for re-election to the Scarborough Town Council. Much has been said recently about the importance of requesting and listening to citizen input. I feel that Robert is exceptional in his ability to realize that goal, and that this ability has enabled him to represent us well. He states that he wishes to see our town be “welcoming, prosperous, and equitable.” While these are easy things to say, Robert has enhanced our ability to achieve those ends through strong and vocal support for the new Public Safety Building, helping to obtain financial support for the affordable housing trust fund, advocating for a senior gaming area in Memorial Park, and playing a facilitating role in the preservation of the Beech Ridge Schoolhouse. I know that Robert will continue to provide the leadership we need and would ask that you vote for his re-election.
