I am writing to encourage Falmouth voters in District 112 to re-elect State Representative Mary Nelson on November 2. As a sitting Town Councilor, I appreciate Nelson’s six years of experience on the Falmouth Town Council and as past President of the Maine Municipal Association. She brings valuable knowledge to Augusta about how reductions in state aid to education and revenue sharing affect municipal budgets and local taxpayers.
In addition, Nelson has worked hard to increase funding for Maine’s higher education system to prepare our workforce for 21st-century jobs and help grow our state’s economy.
Lastly, Nelson’s background in family business and service on various non-profit boards round out the multi-faceted perspective she brings to Augusta. Falmouth is fortunate to have a representative of such experience, knowledge and energy. Please re-elect State Representative Mary Nelson on November 2.
