State Rep. Teresa Pierce, D-Falmouth, a thoughtful and hard-working legislator for Falmouth, deserves re-election in House District 44 on Nov. 8. As a member of the Legislature’s Education and Cultural Affairs Committee, Teresa has been a strong voice for public education, especially for early childhood education. She knows that investing in high-quality educational opportunity for young learners helps to strengthen our economy by producing adults who are more likely to earn a degree beyond high school, be employed, and earn higher incomes. She believes such an investment is the single most effective public policy tool available to move Maine forward. If re-elected, Teresa will work to improve access to early childhood education for greater numbers of Maine’s children, and at a cost our communities can afford. On this and other issues Teresa works collaboratively, listens well, and avoids the extreme that often spoils political discourse. Let’s keep Teresa Pierce working for us in Augusta.
