I am writing to express my strong support of Teresa Pierce’s re-election to the Falmouth Town Council. During her three years on the council she has demonstrated her ability to strike a good balance between creative vision and pragmatism. She works collaboratively across groups to honor the Open Space Implementation Plan we approved in 2008 while simultaneously promoting business development. Her support of Question 1 (the proposal to reuse the Plummer-Motz/Lunt buildings and site for a Community Center, renovated library, and Town Green) reflects a well-balanced, long-term vision for our town.

Specifically, the tax rate, which has not increased during Teresa’s tenure, will remain flat with this proposal. At the same time, valued services will expand and our town’s historic character will be preserved and enhanced. Teresa serves Falmouth with independence, insight, and a practical eye toward moving the town forward. I urge you to support her at the polls on June 14.
