Thoughtfulness, dedication, intelligence, work ethic – these are important traits for elected officials to possess, yet they seem lacking in legislative bodies today. Changing the current atmosphere and re-establishing a spirit of collegiality and compromise requires each of us to vote. We need to support individuals who embody these traits and can lead our state and country in a more positive direction.
State Sen. Rebecca Millett, D-Cape Elizabeth, is that candidate. As a state senator, she works hard to remain open-minded and seek solutions to the state’s thorniest challenges by engaging colleagues on both sides of the aisle. She communicates frequently with constituents, listens to concerns and responds in a thoughtful and timely manner.
