I’ve never written a letter to the editor before, but given the extreme lack of bipartisanship in government, I must applaud my state representative, Democrat Joyce “Jay” McCreight, who works with everyone – regardless of political party – to make Maine a better place.
What impresses me the most about Jay is her willingness to listen. She is polite, smart, thinks before she speaks and is respected by her colleagues, regardless of political affiliation.
She co-chaired the Opioid Task Force and dealing with that crisis, in particular, gives me great confidence in her.
Jay is running for her third term representing House District 51. I’ll be voting for her on Nov. 6.
