I am writing in support of Democratic state Sen. Stan Gerzofsky’s candidacy in Senate District 24, which now comprises Brunswick, Freeport, Harpswell, Pownal, and North Yarmouth. Having served eight years in the House and six years in the Senate, Stan is a very experienced and knowledgeable legislator. While other candidates may tout the fact that they “are not politicians,” the truth is that this district has a substantial advantage over others in having a senator who understands all of the issues and knows all of the players in Augusta.
Because Stan has represented me since 2000, I can attest to the fact that he is extremely responsive to his constituents. Whenever I leave him a message or send him an email, he contacts me the same day and spends as long as necessary answering my questions and discussing my concerns. All Maine people should have the opportunity to be represented by someone like Stan.
