The citizens of Maine will be the big winners if the voters of House District 49 re-elect Democrat Mattie Daughtry to serve as their representative in Augusta. Daughtry has finished her first term in the Maine Legislature with an excellent record of activity and accomplishment.

Notably, Mattie has been chosen by her peers to chair the Maine Commission on College Affordability. During her first term, Mattie introduced 11 bills, and three were passed into law; outstanding for a freshman legislator.

Rep. Daughtry authored LD668, her agricultural literacy bill, and it was signed into law by Gov. Paul LePage, a very clear demonstration of her ability to work across the aisle, with politicians of any stripe.

Mattie Daughtry is deeply rooted in Brunswick and has the personal style, knowledge and ability to represent us effectively in Augusta.
