After two disappointing elections, I am so relieved to see an opportunity to vote in a more reliable method for our future elected officials, especially our governor and senators. We have really had bad luck with our recent three-way votes and I for one am very upset by the outcome of Paul LePage becoming our governor two times with such a low percentage of votes.

Ranked choice voting is a solution that we must try. It gives each of us a chance to pick several candidates that we favor and each of our choices will be considered. There is no added expense and it is a very simple method of voting. Portland has already proved that with a satisfactory outcome. Please join me on Election Day to select this very fair and open method of choosing the best candidates going forward.
