I am president of the Falmouth Land Trust and I support Sean Mahoney for Falmouth Town Council. Sean served as president of the trust for over five years and brought invaluable real-world legal experience that he honed representing landowners and developers as they navigated the rules and regulations for project developments, as well as a passion for the environment. During his tenure, Sean worked with willing landowners interested in preserving their land and providing public access for recreational use. Most significantly, Sean oversaw the acquisition of the Blackstrap Hill Preserve, working with the Town Council, the landowners, state agencies and Land For Maine’s Future to preserve almost 300 acres in the heart of Falmouth. Sean’s energy, resourcefulness and sense of humor provided the trust with effective leadership and I believe he will bring those same qualities – and results – to the Town Council. Please join me in voting for Sean on June 12.
