To the student athletes and coaches of the 2018 Class E football championship team from Freeport High School: Congratulations. We attended almost all the home games, including the championship game. Each game was a wonderful community event. The team exemplified perseverance, spirit, and great sportsmanship on its way to the championship. The Fire and Police departments’ escort through the town impressed even the out-of-state shoppers who got a glimpse of New England community and pride on a brisk fall afternoon. Well done!
