As a life-long educator, I am writing to encourage Democrats in Freeport and Pownal to vote for Melanie Sachs on June 12.
I have known Melanie for several years, and have seen her dedication to the welfare of children and our schools. Melanie has taught and volunteered in the Freeport schools; rebuilt our community’s scouting programs; and supported childhood education and development causes at every turn. If she commits even half the time and energy she has devoted to our children to working for us in Augusta, we will have the most effective representative in the legislature. Melanie is also someone who is capable of bringing people together to get things done. In these times of paralysis and inaction in the Legislature, I can think of no finer attribute for our representative to have in Augusta.
Vote for Melanie Sachs. She will be an extraordinary representative for Freeport and Pownal.
