As my second and final term on the Falmouth Town Council draws to a close, I offer the following election endorsements: Teresa Pierce and Chris Orestis. Pierce has made tremendous contributions during her first term and will build on those in her second. Orestis is a local businessman and he will add great new energy to the council.
Both candidates will promote local business, balanced land use policies, the open space preservation program, and civic reuse of the Lunt and Plummer/Motz site. In addition, they are both fiscally responsible. Pierce has twice chaired the council’s Finance Committee and kept our mil rate one of the lowest in the area. Orestis has a wealth of financial expertisel. We need people like Pierce and Orestis who will think about the long-term health of our community. I encourage voters to support Pierce and Orestis on June 14.
