State Rep. Teresa Pierce, D-Falmouth, has the tangible and intangible qualities of a real leader. Rep. Pierce works hard at her craft. She has a mastery of public policy, both the details and how those fit into the whole. She advocates for practical solutions that will build a stronger community.

For example, she has worked on fiscally responsible changes to our public-assistance laws. She values renewable energy, advocates for veterans’ education benefits, and supports practical law enforcement responses to the opiate crisis.

Rep. Pierce also has the character attributes of a leader. She can understand another’s point of view, while at the same time being a forceful advocate for change and progress. She brings people together, she listens, she has compassion, and she cares about justice and opportunity for all Maine people.

Please join me in re-electing this leader in House District 44 on Nov. 8.
