I am writing to express my support for Rep. Teresa Pierce, D-Falmouth, who is running for re-election in House District 44. Teresa is a proven leader here in Falmouth and in Augusta, taking a thoughtful, balanced, and effective approach to issues.
Teresa has passionately supported the Falmouth schools for many years on the Falmouth Education Foundation board, the Falmouth Town Council, and now on the state Education Committee. Teresa also understands that maintaining quality education in Falmouth means righting the balance between state spending and local property taxes.
Last year when I had a concern about a gun bill before the Education Committee, Teresa took my calls, heard me out, and followed up by email. I appreciate a legislator who values accessibility and is responsive to constituent concerns.
Teresa will represent Falmouth well and will help move Maine forward. I hope you will join me in voting for her on Nov. 6.
