I’ve known Matthew Perkins for a few years, as our boys are in the same grade at Dyer Elementary School. Matt is also very active as a coach for South Portland youth baseball. He has coached my son a couple years and has been a positive influence. His cool and calm demeanor is very effective when trying to teach young ones the fundamentals of baseball. He’s patient and extremely kind. Matt also runs the mileage club at Dyer. My son has come home countless times being so proud of his running accomplishments and the support he gets from Matt. Matt’s qualities translate to what we need on our School Board: a steady hand with fresh ideas and someone who doesn’t have a greater agenda.
